Koene.com, established in 1992 by Martijn Koene in Santpoort, Netherlands, is a company dedicated to advancing both national and international karting. Martijn Koene, a celebrated driver with two European karting titles and a victory in the Nations Cup Opel Lotus alongside Formula 1 driver Jos Verstappen, transitioned from a successful racing career into karting innovation.

Transitioning from driver to technical expert, Martijn began working with Tony Kart, the world’s leading kart manufacturer, where he honed his expertise in rebuilding and tuning factory engines. Through years of experience and ingenuity, he developed exceptional skills in enhancing two-stroke engines. This talent contributed to numerous championship victories, including European and World titles achieved by drivers such as Jarno Trulli, Danica Patrick, Lucas di Grassi, Carlo van Dam, Davide Foré, James Courtney, Nelson van der Pol, Michael Koel, and Mario Siegers. Martijn also prepared engines for Michael Schumacher during his karting race in Bercy, Paris.

From its humble beginnings, Koene.com has grown into a global leader, distributing products from prominent go karting brands such as OTK Kart Parts, Tony Kart, Kosmic Karts, Eos Kart, Exprit Kart, LN Lando Norris Kart, Carlos Sainz 55 Kart, Gillard Kart, Redspeed Kart and Vortex Engines, Rotax Max, Iame Engines, and the Go Kart Engine Parts. The company also provides racewear and equipment from Sparco, Alpinestars, Adidas, Arai Helmets, and Xeramic Lubricants, making it a cornerstone in the karting industry.

Peter Koene is remembered for his exceptional karting prowess, particularly his victory over Ayrton Senna in the 1979 Karting World Championship. Peter’s performance highlighted the competitive nature of Dutch racers in karting's golden era.
