About Us

Koene.com is a company founded in 1992 by Martijn Koene from Santpoort The Netherlands, that evolves around national and international Kartsport. Martijn Koene, once a well renowned driver with 2 European titles in karting and winner of the Nations Cup Opel Lotus together with F1 driver Jos Verstappen, started small. Martijn started working for the largest kart manufacturer in the world: Tony Kart. His job was to rebuild and tune the factory engines. Martijn had through his years of experience and creative mind developed a special skill for the enhancement of two-stroke engines. Since the early days great results were achieved with Martijn’s engines such as European and world titles with drivers such as Jarno Trulli, Danica Patrick, Lukas Digrassi, Carlo van Dam, Davide Fore, James Courtney, Nelson van der Pol, Michael Koel, Mario Siegers etc. etc. Also Martijn prepared the engines for Michael Schumacher for his race Bercy / Parijs (F).

Since the beginning the company started to grow. Koene.com is the distributor for a large number of important names in the karting industry such as Tony Kart, Kosmic Karts, FA Fernado Alonso Kart Exprit Karts, OTK Spare parts, Vortex Engines, Rotax Max (engines), Ibea (carburetors), Sparco (racewear), Alpinestars (racewear), Adidas (racewear), Arai (helmets), Xeramic (lubricants).
